Danville VA Hospital

Danville, Kentucky

The new boiler construction required 14 new boilers with an aggregate capacity of 1,700 boiler-HP of equipment. Included within the scope of work were new steam-hot water converters, controls, fuel oil storage tanks and steam coil replacements within the hospital buildings.

This build also required a renovation of the entire HVAC system for a chapel. There were internal renovations of the HVAC air handling and heat exchanger systems to convert low pressure steam.

The design included four new steam boiler plants to sunset the existing main packaged boiler plant. New boilers, fuel oil systems, and distribution systems were designed to serve over 630,000-square-feet of existing hospital buildings.
