The utilization of computers and automation is an essential foundation in the performance of required design services. Most of our design projects are on a CADD (AutoCad) system with drafting and design programs to facilitate document production. We also will use Revit for unique modeling when required.

Fire suppression projects requiring detailed hydraulic analysis are modeled using KYFire program Version 1994-1998. We also utilize KYPipe for the hydraulic modeling of complex closed-loop hydraulic and hydronic systems. We use CAEPipe for pipe thermal and support stress modeling. 

We also use a building energy modeling software entitled eQuest 3.64, which uses the Department of Energy modeling program DOE 2.2 as its energy modeling engine. A specification database is maintained which greatly increases the refrigerant coil modeling, air handling unit selection, steam traps and specialties, and expansion compensation devices.

We also have developed in-house spreadsheets to aid in the acoustical analysis of HVAC systems. A comprehensive design library is maintained which covers mechanical and electrical design issues on most construction projects encountered.
